Inspiration Monday

I haven't done one of these in a long time. But I figured it was time :-) Lately I have really been into entries and hallways. Who knows why...but I have. So without further ado:

Monday Inspiration - bathrooms...and some Deer

First off...I just have to brag on my husband a bit. He got his first buck this weekend.
Sorry if you don't like pictures of dead deer...but I had to show it. He actually does all of the cutting and processing himself, so we had a dead deer hanging up in our back yard this weekend. I just don't look at it. And now, we have a lot more venison in our freezer! I'm so excited :-) Good job Trey!!!

And now onto other things...

It's been a while since I've done one of these...an inspiration day. Today's is bathrooms. It is so much fun to walk into an awesome bathroom...so peaceful and relaxing, like a spa.  So here are some fun bathrooms that will hopefully inspire you to design one yourself, d.i.y. a current bathroom, redecorate, or give yourself a pat-on-the-back for already having a beautiful spa-like bathroom :-)

This is Layla and Kevin's at The Lettered Cottage. I love the transformation!

One of my favorites. I imagine this as a kids bathroom. And instead
of a window, it would be a mirror.

Best. Bathroom. Ever. I don't think I would ever leave. via Pinterest.
Well, there you have it! Hope you're able to get some good ideas :-) Have a marvelous Monday!

Holiday Slacking and Awesome Virtual House Tour

Sorry I haven't published much lately...I have been busy and haven't downloaded any pictures from my camera yet. And I think a post without pictures is kind of boring...so, once I delegate some time to downloading pictures, I promise I will get some real posts out.

And, since I need pictures in order to make a post interesting, I thought I would share something I have become obsessed with.  I bumped across this house virtually via...well, I don't remember where, but it was probably pinterest...and I fell in love.  Being the residential-architecture obsessed person I am, I constantly think of house plans to build someday.  And this house is definitely going on my list as one of my top inspirations.  So here are pictures (and link) to this amazing house:

The stunning exterior.
Look at that amazing background...yeah, I think I could live with that everyday.
Awesome living room...love the exposed beams.
Other side of the living room. Trey would definitely love the animal head above the fireplace.
Sa-weet dining room. I love me some bookcases too!
Straight through the doors of the dining room is the kitchen. Look at the size of that island!
This is my favorite detail of the whole house - the farmhouse sink with windows above and sconces flanking the windows. Seriously cannot get any better then that.
Butler's pantry...just off to the right on the big kitchen picture above.
Family room with an eat-in banquette in the background. And I love the desk by the fireplace with the windows above. So quaint.
The eat-in banquette. I would definitely sit down and eat breakfast every morning if I had this.
Cozy bedroom. Love the sitting chairs in there.
Awesome bathroom. The lighting in here is insane! Love it!
My guess is this is the owner. Sitting in part of the mud room.
The other side of the mud room. Ummm...yes please!
Home office. I would definitely work more often if I had this office.
I would definitely allow this kind of man room in my house.
Love the masculine lights above the pool table.
Gorgeous and manly bathroom. Yes, those 2 words can be in the same sentence.
I would definitely read here. Or take a nap. You pick.
Another bathroom. Love it!!! Those sconces just rock!
The entry. Sa-weet door! This would work well with our dog. So she can't lick people to death when they come to the door.
We'll end on this one. Yup, this would definitely be relaxing.
The designers for this house are m.elle design, a mother and daughters trio.  Kudos, ladies, for designing such a comforting house that definitely is not lacking in beautifulness. Yes, that is a word.  Have a happy Friday everyone!

Fun Girl's Day and Pottery Barn

This past weekend I went on a fun girl's shopping day with my mom, mother-in-law, aunt and cousins-once-removed (those are my mom and aunt's cousins).  We had such a blast.  First we went to a Pottery Barn class...and I was going to take pictures, but sat down on one of their couches and completely forgot.  That was one of the most comfortable couches I have ever sat in. I seriously could have fallen asleep.  At the class, we learned a lot of fun ways to decorate your house for Christmas and how to coordinate Christmas colors with the existing colors in your home.  After the class we ate at the Cheesecake Factory (Delish! Next time you go there, try the Monte Cristo Sandwich...it's soooo goooood!!!!!).  And then we did some random shopping after that.  By the end of the day, we were all shopped out...but we were happy :-)  So, since the main event of the day was the Pottery Barn class...I thought I would share some of their Thanksgiving and Christmas products that I absolutely loved...and just a warning...there's a lot here (so might be a little slow when looking through). They have some pretty cool holiday decor!!!

Mini Indian Corn Vase Filler (I have some of these and love them)
Ornament Hook (I actually have these and LOVE them)
Etched Champagne Mercury Glass Cachepot (I actually bought one of these and love it)
Sugared Cranberry Vase Filler (I have the non-sugared ones and use them a lot!)
Rattan Reindeer (I bought the smallest one of these and absolutely love him!)
Stag Bottle Stopper (Trey got this as a gift and it's pretty awesome)
Wine Bottle Accessories (Wouldn't these be the cutest hostess gifts to go along with a bottle of wine?!? Love them!)

Well, I hope you had fun looking through Pottery Barn's amazing products! Maybe you'll get some good Christmas gift ideas :-) Have a wonderful Tuesday!
