Our Favorite Baby Products

When I found out I was pregnant...heck, before I even knew I was pregnant...I researched baby products like crazy! I wanted to make sure we were buying things for our sweet little baby that were safe yet affordable and also easy on the eyes. Trey's request was that we had things that he wouldn't feel silly using (as in not too fru-fruy or girly). So here are our favorite products:

Britax B-Safe car seat and Britax B-Agile Stroller

Both of these have been amazing! They have really good reviews, great crash-test ratings (for the car seat) and they are good quality without breaking the bank. I looked around for the best price and found that Amazon sold them for about $40-$60 cheaper then a store. And I could get free shipping. We love the way they look, being gender neutral, shnazy enough for me, hip enough for Trey and extremely user-friendly. And with the stroller, you can buy different attachments. The car seat hooks on easily to the stroller so you can take walks when your baby is an infant and not sitting up yet. Later on, you can attach a child's tray. We also have a drink/basket attachment that hooks onto the stroller handle that is really nice. The sun cover over the stroller goes farther down then most but doesn't obstruct your child's view. And you can lean the seat back so your child is laying almost flat. Which is awesome for when you're out and about and you want your child to fall asleep. I definitely love these and am excited to see how they hold up even for our next child.

We have this bag in red and got it as a gift from some awesome friends. It matches the stroller and car seat perfectly. I love it and so does Trey. Because it's manly and doesn't look like a large purse. It has lots of pockets to help keep things organized and the shoulder strap makes it super easy to carry, especially with a baby in tow.

This has definitely been our most used toy. It was great when he was just lying on his back and now that he's rolling over and sitting up, it still has been awesome. Everything is super plush and well made. He constantly chews on things and it stays looking great. I'm not a fan of over-stimulation, so I'm glad he doesn't seem to get bored of it.

We use these constantly every single day since the day he was born. They fit perfectly on your shoulder, the fabric is super soft and the patterns are adorable! Tobias has never been much of a spitter-upper but when he does, these soak it up right away. And we've gotten lots of complements on how cute they are. Love love love them!

We received a couple of these at a baby shower. They are a little more expensive then most baby spoons but for a good reason. They're really high quality and hold the food extremely well, especially the liquidy stuff. We did end up buying more and I truly believe they will last a very long time, through the rest of our kiddos. We accidentally had one go through the disposal and it came out with very little damage. Needless to say, awesome spoons.

I looked at so many different high chairs when we were pregnant. And there are some expensive high chairs that look absolutely amazing. But I didn't want to spend a fortune just on a high chair. A friend of mine had a similar Chico high chair that she loved...so I researched it, it had amazing reviews and it wasn't going to break the bank. And we love it. It's easy to maneuver and clean off. Sturdy. And adorable. Plus gender neutral. Definitely a good purchase.

Those are our favorite things so far in Tobias' 7 1/2 months of life. I'll probably do another one of these posts again...maybe once he's a year old.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! Thank you to all of the men and women who have fought for our beautiful country and sacrificed so much! You are appreciated way beyond words can describe!

Say What?!?

I found this the other day while going through some old photos and just had to share :-)

See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil - DIY version
When we bought our house, we still had the lease on our apartment for another month. So we took advantage of that amount of time to not have to live in our house and completely go all-out on renovating it. And thank goodness we have awesome family that are willing to help! This is me, my sister and my mother-in-law having some fun.

Hopefully I'll get some more updated pictures up soon to show you the progress of the kitchen, the bathroom and the nursery!
